Still questions about dispatcher
#dispatcher
?
I continue to move forward on Dispatcher.
?
I still have two questions:
?
Why, when I have a stopping sensor on the block, the train does not stop when reaching it ??
Why the direction sensors are not put inactive when a train terminate (that leave the layout in an incorrect state) ?
?
Thanks.

Point out, a prototype railroad uses a dispatcher to control and authorize train movement.
The dispatcher accomplishes this, among other ways, using signals.
By keeping the direction sensors active for released sections, Dispatcher is simulating railroad signaling.
Under central control, all signals are 'stop' unless the dispatcher sets and authorizes a route.

OK thanks Steve. But the question is how do you make a train stopping in the dispatcher ? JeanLouisDelestre@... De: "Steve_G" <RailRodder22@...> ?: [email protected] 贰苍惫辞测é: Mercredi 23 Octobre 2024 11:39:05 Objet: Re: [jmriusers] Still questions about dispatcher Jean
The stopping sensors are? only used if the train is required to stop, not always stop.
Direction sensors are reset as sections are? released., a d initialized when dispatcher starts.
Occupancy sensors just follow, well, occupancy.

3 - Transit Action for section "Pause" for N fast clock minutes.
4 - Transit action "Go to Manual".

Avoid setting a speed in script or transit action as dispatcher can overide that during reevaluations of the layout status.
