Re: Inconsistent behaviour with the dispatcher
Block tracking neither knows about nor cares about trains. Its responsibly is to transfer the block value from the source block to the next block using direction of travel based on occupancy changes.

DC and DCC
Hi All, as Dave said DigiTrax does allow analog locos to run, 1 only, with address 00. I did all the programming at our club layout which uses DigiTrax and we disabled the analog feature on the

Mistake. We generally release production versions twice a year: Summer and December. The next one, probably named 4.14, is likely to be in December 2018. Bob -- Bob Jacobsen rgj1927@...

Which is a bad thing, so the easiest method of dealing with it is to eliminate the DC component. Years ago several DCC manufacturers did make a disconnect device which would protect the DC and DCC

Re: Detecting DC vs DCC track power
I thought that would be the case, but the 'tombstone' detectors (BD20 and clones) still work with DC. What you can do is wire in a pair of LEDs powered off track power. Say one green and one red, 16V

Why not use the simplest method and drive the indicator from the toggle switches. Triple pole or something like that. Simple and elegant. Regards Kevin Wagner

I agree that it would be best to not mix DC and DCC, but as Daland mentioned, club politics rule the day. We just completed a show this weekend and we were running DCC and DC, switching back and forth

Sound feedback from CV writes will certainly mess up DecoderPro because the decoder goes deaf while speaking and hence subsequent write commands are missed. Absolutely will mess up address changes,
