Because I am using the DCC++ Mega, I can set Mega inputs using JMRI. So, the outputs from the board go to inputs on the Mega, and JMRI knows all about it.
As pointed out above, there may be a problem because the sensors only signal when a train is over them. Current sensors detect whenever a train is in the block. Therefore, I may have to think again. I may develop a current sensor as well. I haven't got a suitable layout build yet, so this is a developing science.
I could modify my sensors to detect a train entering and leaving a block.
