I have been able to export iReal charts in music XML format to JamBrl successfully The problem occurs when I change the key signature, and/or tempo in the iReal application for any chord chart, and then try to share/export it to the JamBrl process. When I do this, the chart that is generated by JamBrl does not have the new key signature. The chords are generated in the original key signature. Please note that if I share/export the iReal chart in PDF format a sighted colleague has confirmed that the key signature and chords have been changed to reflect the changes I made and see in iReal. Does anyone know why this occurs. I believe that I have followed the correct steps. Does anyone have any ideas. The steps I took are as follows: 1. I select the song in iReal Pro, and modify the key signature. 2. I then share the iReal chart in music XML format to my dropbox account. 3. The sharing of the file takes place and I have a file with an XML extension in my dropbox. 4. I copy that file to my XMLcharts folder. 5. I run makecharts.bat. 6. The processing occurs and I find my file now in HTMcharts folder. 7. The file is there with the HTM extension, but when I view/emboss it it does not show the new key signature and the cords that should apply with this new key signature. I have tried this numerous times without success. I would appreciate some insight as to what I may be missing or how I can fix this problem. Thank you, Jeanette Kutash

Hi, Folks! Just wanted to let you know that I fixed the missing folder problem in the ChartMaker ZIP file. Now when you download the ZIP file all the proper folders will be present. Sorry about that! I also fixed a typo in the readme that specified the wrong dots for a quarter note C chord. Thanks for letting me know about these. Greetings everybody my name is Chela Robles I’m from Concord California and I am a blind musician I have two instruments I have a piano and a trumpet and I’m just now learning the piano. I have played the trumpet for 25 years. I’m hoping that I will be able to learn several of my favorite tunes via Jambraille ChartMaker, and I'm wanting to brush up on my braille music reading skills too.

Hi All, First, thanks to Josh Miele and Roberto Gonzalez for making this! I enjoyed the demo last night. I just forked Josh's github repository made an cross-platform App for ChartMaker. It works for both Windows and Mac. This is just a very simple app where you can simply open xml, convert, and review the result. First, disclaimer... I just made this last night for a fun testing concept, so things might not work properly. Also There are a couple of caveats for Mac user. 1. The app for MacOS is not signed for distribution yet. Due to the latest security feature in Catalina, There's a issue with the packager that I'm using. I'm having a problem code signing and notarizing at the moment, but I'll figure it out eventually. Instead of opening with command+o, you can just vo+shift+m and choose open to bring up the prompt to allow. Finally you have to allow the app to run in system preference > security. 2. VoiceOver render the Braille output slightly differently than intended, but it's relatively easy to figure it out. Hope Mac users can take advantage of this as well.
