Hi folks, up for sale is a very nice low mileage '89 PC800 located in Olmsted, Ohio.
?
I did a complete tear-down restoration on this bike and helping to sell it for the guy who bought it from me last fall.
?
It's now owned by an older dude who's not online savvy and the reason for sale is it's a no-go with his wife.
?
Message me for his number to contact them directly. Thanks!

I saw it on facebook not very much information. Did you take pictures when the plastic was off. Do you have a build sheet. The best way to buy a PC is with the plastic off. I learned the hard way.

Everything's in the FB link. Just close the login box if you don't have an account and you can still see all the details. It didn't seem wise to post the owner's name and number publicly so I can message their contact info to interested members.
The basic info is it's a white '89 PC800, 15,257 miles, asking price is $3,800 obo, and located in Olmsted, Ohio.
There's a long list of work done that was completed last summer... some of which I've posted about here. All the plastics were removed, reasonably repaired, and refinished. Shiny parts like rims and exhaust cover polished. Exhaust rust stripped, coated, and cured with high temp ceramic paint. New OEM exhaust joint seals. All fresh engine, coolant, shaft, brake, clutch, and fork fluids. New fork seals when changing the fork oil. New EBC front brake pads. It has newer tires. New K&N air and oil filters, and new fuel filter. Carbs rebuilt, tuned, and synced. Typical PC800 quirks like the cam plugs were replaced and good alternator charging was measured and confirmed. I replaced the engine coolant pipe seals while in the engine. Cams and valves looked good. New Motobatt AGM battery with charging cable run to right fairing pocket. Comfort and convenience stuff added like seat cover, soft grips, and phone holder. New Clearview windscreen. New luggage rack. That's off the top of my head.
This resto nearly ended me but I was determined to see it through once the plastics were off. The reason I sold it is I fix up classic bikes as a hobby and currently working on an FJ1200 project bike. Let me know if anyone has any other questions and I'll be happy to help.

A detailed work list is in the ad description. There's also a link to a walk-around vid of the entire completed bike running from cold start.
Here's some pics to show I was in the bike.
I have more but the proof is in looking at the bike itself.

Thank you v ery much. I am in the very same situation. I bought a 96 in Michigan with 12K Red. It looked beautiful. 3500.00. So far I am up to incuding the purchase price over 7000.00. I have not finished it .I have all? receipt.and lots of pictures along the way. I like what you did with the pipes.I did a wrap and spray then baked in heat. I was trying to keep the heat away. It sounds like a sound purchase. I will see how far away you are. I have alot to say and ask so I will get back to you earlier in the day.
Thanks for your detailed description! I would give you my number, but if you post your number it can be found at this site. Type you number in a search engine and see what happenes. Canute

? She's a beauty and always happy to chat with other bike wrenchers and enthusiasts. I should also have receipts for everything as I probably bought it all online.
? Once again, I sold this bike to an older dude in Ohio last fall, his wife said no, so he just reached out to me to ask for help selling it online as he isn't good with computers. He says he only put around 100 miles on it and stored it for the winter. I strongly considered taking it back but I'm neck deep in FJ1200 right now.
? I don't see a way to direct message you with our contact info privately here but it's easy to hit me up on Facebook Messenger as I posted the FB ad link with my account.
