1990 PC800 stopped running - zero, zilch, nada. Now what?

My 1990 PC800, 55,000+ miles,? stopped dead in its tracks over a year ago. After having it trailered to a local mechanic, who has worked on it in the past, he can still not find the problem.
?
I changed the ECM unit and still no spark.
?
A new battery was installed and no go.?
?
I need to bring it back home and am now wondering what should I look for to get it running?
- carbs?
- fuel system?
- wiring/cables?
?
Suggestions/recommendation are welcomed.
?
Worse case scenario for me would be to sell it as a salvage but I would like to get it running again.
?
I am in Goleta, California, between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

If the problem is no spark, then the issue will be with the TCI, the coil packs, or the wiring. If it stopped suddenly I would make sure the switch gear is working properly first, since the old start/stop switch could definitely wear out.

Bypass the kill switch. I bet that has failed.?

Start with the ignition system.? Without spark, nothing else will matter.
?
The ignition has an interlock with the neutral and side stand switches to stop the engine (and prevent starting) if it is in gear with the side stand down. Verify the expected voltages at the ICM connector.
?
A somewhat blurry schematic is available .? The ignition troubleshooting instructions are .

Good hunting,

A service/shop manual is mandatory for your PC and available on Ebay amongst?other sites.

Thank you to all who have replied with recommendations. I will start with the most accessible fixes and work my way to worse case scenario.
?
As has been my experience with this type of malfunction the fix is usually? the simplest.
?
Will keep the thread advised on progress.
?
Cheers,

Success!

Thank you to all who have commented with procedures and a very special thank you to Stuart in PA and Ben in Atlanta who called me with some specific troubleshooting tips. Both of them mentioned toggling the Run/Kill switch and that was the fix (had a Lady? Kenmore washer that would stop and the fix was the same, rock the dial several times and bingo, clean clothes.
?
The plugs were pulled, grounded and the engine was turning over, power to the dash lights but no spark. I rocked the run/kill switch about six times and still no spark. Did the same thing two more times and suddenly the plugs had spark. Reinstalled the plugs and after a few tries with the choke closed it fired up.
?
Will have the bike back on the road by the end of the week.
?
Once again, thank you all. Will post a photo once I get it cleaned up.

Tony,
?
Congratulations on getting your bike running!
?
There's an exploded view of the Run/Stop switch here that should give you some hints as to where to spray contact cleaner into the switch. A little DeoxIT grease, or similar product, should keep it behaving for years.

Thank you Seth. I will be cleaning out? the contacts on the switch. So far it's been on the road for 50 miles and no hiccups!
