Re: Migrate to new Apple TV
I prefer finding mailing lists. Those have the advantage of being automated and being aware of potential problems and often solutions even if such problems have not happened for myself yet, or maybe I can reply to an existing post and try to help someone else. The problem with websites aka "forums" is that you have remember to go there manually to see if anything has actually changed since the last time.

I am experimenting with RSS. Like e-mail, RSS feeds are automated, but you often cannot "reply" if something you read on the websites prompts you into making your own contribution. Re: Migrate to new Apple TV
I must admit I don't understand the "password sharing" paranoia by Netflix. You cannot simultaneously use Netflix on more devices than you created the account for. For example, my own allows four. If I try to watch something on a fifth device while four others are watching something (not difficult given that we have five iPads and four (soon to be five) phones between us let alone my computers), I see "exceeded limit" and I cannot watch anything on that fifth device until at least one of the other four stops watching something. However, I didn't use an Apple ID for the Netflix account. I created an e-mail address specifically for Netflix on one of my own domains.

We don't have Apple TV. If we want anything larger than the iPad or phone as screen, we simply connect it via lightning to HDMI adapter or via USB-C to HDMI adapter to the HDMI input of an actual TV. Yes, I know, but it’s not password sharing. We are in the same household on the same IP-adress and everything.

I’m sure Netflix would not forbid us se see a movie together … It’s just that she bought the Nexflix subscríption and some other subscriptions, like HBO are on my Apple ID, that is, I bought those. :-) Den 14. aug. 2023 kl. 09.14 skrev maclists <maclists@...>: |

While I admit I don't know how to change the Apple ID for Netflix, be careful unless you actually have a Netflix account that allows simultaneous devices and different profiles. There is some kind of clampdown on password sharing by Netflix going on.

Oh, I meant to say, I’m not too worried. I don’t have any top secret, national security items on my phone. I also don’t have any porn or child porn. Immigrations in various countries have the right to access your electronics.

开云体育Hello BobYes, i did try that … it automatically downloads and install the same apps I have on the other (older) Apple TV and they appear in the same order on the home screen.? Bu I have to log ind to each of them. And A couple of them, Nexflix and 2 other apps, ask me to type in my password. The username is already there (my Apple ID), I only need to type the password. However, for those 3 apps the username/Apple ID ?is not my email addresse but my wifes … and i can’r seem o change it. The only thing it allows me to doi ?is to type a password. Which is why IO searched for a way to clone the old Apple TV or af way to transfer everyting including settimgs and accounts.? Alternatively .. how do I change the Apple ID Netflix suggests?? :-) Peter

were unconscious or newly dead, couldn’t some evil doer still use the now motionless entity’s finger or face to unlock the device and view all the nefarious things the owner was up to? I only use the 6 digit code to unlock my stuff, when I can remember the order they supposed to be in. As for cold weather, if your fingers develop wrinkles as they tend to do when in water for a while, then you might have a problem. Mine have age creases, but it seems if the creases are stable, no problem once the button is trained to recognize them. Now that I think about it, maybe these creases will just replace the actual fingerprint. Or supplement it? Jerry On Aug 12, 2023, at 9:13 PM, maclists <maclists@...> wrote: |

It is not always predictable when you need to make a phone call. But I agree, if you are only playing with apps, you shouldn't be handling your phone with dirty or wet hands.

Not serious enough for a hospital visit or even calling a doctor, but you could also cut your finger at any time. In warm weather, there could be perspiration (i.e. wet) on your fingers that you haven't noticed. Just curious, but would fingerprints change in very cold weather?
