Stream ads in the Yahoo user group's conversation area!

Hi Everybody;

I would also suggest that people at least read the following Yahoo Group to see how we are pursuing getting things changed; I personally would like to see an option for people to have a choice of interfaces, but a rollback of the new interface would be a nice start and having Yahoo do real beta testing on this would be good.

Yahoo has offered the use of their groups for years for free. Yahoo has to make money in some fashion. Unless we as a group administrators wish to pay a fee to have our groups hosted , we are going to have to put up with ads, otherwise Yahoo will do like other servers, and just simply quit hosting groups . I think we just need to learn to live with it, and be glad that we get groups for free. Sincerely, KC 4 BO

Hi Everybody;

Yahoo decided to place stream ads into the "Conversation" section. This is highly confusing and misleading.

Please go to this link and voice your displeasure with this method of false advertising.

?

Also, can you please go to this link and tell Yahoo what you think about the ads in the ¡°conversation¡± section.

You can further go to:

And tell Yahoo what you think and you can also vote to keep Yahoo a pleasant experience and knowledge base, without ads.

If you are a administrator of a group please forward this message to all users in other groups you administer.?

Thank you;

HI Everybody;

I have found a way to block the annoying ads on the Yahoo site altogether, but it only works if you use Firefox. I recommend that everybody upgrades to Firefox anyways. There is an add on called Adblock Plus that can be installed onto Firefox and all the ads will not be downloaded to your computer. This is great, because all the adverts take up bandwidth.

If you already use Firefox here is the link to Adblock Plus:

Never be bothered by inappropriate and annoying ads that waste your internet speed and can become costly if you are past your data limit.
