Power Out

My radio has full power?out in SSB and very little power out in FT modes.? Help.

ED KE6SU

This may mean that the audio out from?the FT8 software is too low.

The strength?of the SSB signal is in part controlled by the strength of the audio signal being tranmiitted.

Ed, It's not the radio.?
On your computer that you're using for FT-8,? Increase the drive on your USB Audio Codec.
Like Don said, there's not enough drive from the sound card.

Thanks for the input.? The radio now works correctly.

Ed, out of curiosity, what power level do you use on FT8 with your 7000.?
