Hello Group, I think this is my first post here. My name is Dennis and my station call is AI6R.

First off I love my Icom 7000 and I use it weekly, but just recently it started miss behaving when using the FM or AM modes. It works OK using SSB.

I, at first thought, it might be the MIC or MIC cable, but since it works well in the SSB mode it would seem that the MIC and MIC cable are OK.

I've been through the manual several times looking for some setting that I might have set or changed. Nothing stood out as a proplem with any particular setting, but ...

Any advice on my particular problem would be much appreciated. I miss my evening nets on 2m's.

I left some info out of my post. When selecting FM or AM modes the ALC maxes out, regardless of MIC gain settings. Works as expected using SSB.

Likely its the first time you noticed this.??

ALC is not used for FM and AM modes its meaningless to them.

Also Every 7000 I've seen and my IC7300 has the same behaviour.
