?Help on?70cm I?have my power output set to 100% but the power bar only reads 50% and have done a factory reset?do I? have a? problem? I only bought this radio the other day second hand ?or is t just my inexperience with this radio or not reading the meter right.I don't have any test gear at the moment to test the actual output.

The band is 70cm fm?and looking at the meter the ALC is?only moving about?4?notch points above zero I have read the manual changed both power and mic gain to different settings still nothing in am mode it will move to?a quarter way up the scale has any one had this problem before or have?I got a dud radio.....?Tried ringing icom service near me but they are off for the?Christmas?break

On FM, the ALC indicator doesn't follow voice peaks, since FM is a constant carrier mode. ?Ignore ALC in FM, AM, CW, etc. ?It will vary depending on which band is used, what the DC supply voltage is and what the TX PO setting is, but doesn't have the same meaning and use as in SSB mode.?
