I have seen a 7000 here on the group, with lots of accessories and mint condition, asking $900. ?Which seemed very fair to me. ?Don't know what it actually sold for. Milo, KF5GCF

I have seen a 7000 here on the group, with lots of accessories and mintI don't think I'd take less than $1.1K for mine, especially since it is mint condx, with separation kit, and IT-100 tuner. Just took it off the shelf yesterday and put it back on the air for testing, alongside a same condx 706MkIIg. Getting them ready for swapfest next month. The 7K has little use on it, and the MkIIg was used for July 6M openings only two years ago. I'd sure try to get $1K out of the radio alone with sep-kit. The kit is $100 and the tuner $180, so plenty reasonable. Gary -- 3055: NodeOp Help Page: |
With your accessories, that does sound reasonable to me. Milo On Wed, Dec 11, 2013 at 9:25 AM, AG0N-3055 <mcduffie@...> wrote:

My guess is the price is being driven by the IC-7100? As for me I will buy a 2nd 7K before going to a 7100. Love the composite video output. Far better screen when mobile. I don't understand the head shape. Anything that is an angle front on the dash is only readable at night. Snow blind is a common happening in AZ. Even in the winter. 开云体育Ditto. Don't care for the monochrome touch screen.? Complete mobile kit for the 7000 is $100. Bracket itself is $35, iirc.? ?? ? ? ? This message was delivered by flying monkeys! On Dec 11, 2013, at 13:45, "James Ray, Sr." <jamesraysr@...> wrote:

I can live with the monochrome (though the colour screen of the IC-7000 looks great), but the sloped front panel would be a deal breaker for the mobile station (would slope the wrong way).? Useable in the shack, though I prefer flat front panels. I'm very happy with my 2 7000s, and I can easily add D-STAR to them.? Just have to plug the DV-RPTR/AMBE board back in. :) -- 73 de Tony VK3JED/VK3IRL |
