What should the voltage be ?

ZS2PA Andrew Prideaux All Messages By This Member #42461 When testing i get these voltages on my amp A )not transmitting J101 no voltage but there is a voltage of 13.9 volts on J102. B) transmitting J101 there in a volttage of 6.82 volts and a voltage? of 13.9 volts on J102. Is this correct?
Paul Hansen All Messages By This Member #42462 开云体育 6.82 volts on the gate is pretty high. It’s controlled by the driver bias setting in the service menu. It’s normally around 4 volts and you set it by monitoring the drain current on an external ammeter. Set it to 1 amp. If you are not seeing a 1 amp drain current draw, the transistor is defective. ? You also are showing the early version of the driver board. Later versions have a 1.0 ohm resistor in series with the gate. ? Thank You ? Paul W.
