I'm looking to take the IC-7000 into the field in a pack. I am concerned about damage to the radio connections and controls. What has been your experience with operating with side rails on the IC-7000. Straight side rails look to interfer with controls. Ken KI7HER

Don’t know what to tell you Jim. I have purchased frames that are very well made from CNC cut aluminum. There are many positive reviews on Youtube. They do make a frame specifically for the IC-7000.
I can’t find the reference ?at the moment but I believe Armoloq is a veteran owned American company.
I was trying to be helpful, now I’ll just keep quiet.

Very off topic but, please kindly educate yourself:
Understanding The Reversed Flag
The flag is typically worn on the right shoulder of a military uniform, with the stars facing toward the front of the person wearing the uniform. One reason for this is because, when the flag is displayed this way, it appears to be "flying" as the troops march forward. To help visualize this, think of an??flying in the wind on a flagpole. The canton is always facing towards the front, with the stripes “flowing” behind.
So when the U.S. flag is displayed on any object that is moving, including a person in uniform, the field of blue must be displayed towards the front of the object to indicate the flag is always flying.

Just Remember, the 7K is a Heat Machine, if you put her into a "Field Bag" even With The SideRail You Better Install some form of "FAN" And Ventilation....Ask Me How do I KNOW.....
Check out? Note that the front of the rails are splayed outward as you desire.? I am not affiliated with Portable Zero, but I do have a set of these rails on my IC-7000.
I had forgotten about that feature of the 7000. Don't plan to operate within a bag.

Just bought for mine.? In black.? ?I happen to like PortableZero and? they are a good business.
I've installed them on my Ft817 and IC7300 as it makes handling them much easier? than a simple strap and they do protect the front and rear nicely.? The tilt stand built in? is really handy for the Ft817.
Great to hear your support for PortableZero. And the reminder about the IC-7000 running hot and need for cooling.
I've ordered a set of IC-7000 rails and await delivery.
Thanks for the help.
