Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
Chris,
Two issues to be aware of when using the 13-pin DIN ACC input:
* The audio input on pin 11 is much more sensitive (100 mv.) than the DATA connector.? Even with good ferrite chokes on the

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
Hey Chris,
I am using the 13-pin cable... with the West Mountain P&P.... you will be fine. Your time has value - the pre-tested cables are generally well worth the cost.

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
It is probably something like the TX audio pin is not engaging the
socket then. The cable works fine on my FT-817, but no joy on the
FT-7000. That is why this problem was very frustrating to figure

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
Chris I just connected my Digirig to my IC-7000 via the 6 Pin DIN plug and it keyed up the radio just fine while using VARA HF. I monitored the audio on my HT and the audio was transmitted as well.

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
You're welcome Chris. Ironically I had the opposite issue with a Signalink USB and the 13 PIN DIN plug. I had to go with the 6 PIN DIN plug. While I have both the IC-7000 and a DIgirig with both 1200

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
Hi
In the past I have used a ZLP interface with the same 6 way cable on both
the

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
The radio was set correctly. My understanding is that all the radios
that take the 6 pin mini DIN connectors were wired the same way. I
guess not. I was able to use that port out of my SCS Pactor

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
I would have thought that HSEND would need to be keyed for the HF digital port to work. Perhaps the pinout on the plug is mis-connected.
I used a signalink USB quite a bit with my IC-7000.
I thought

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
I had to set *VSEND* to On in order to use the 6 pin DIN plug for HF.
In set mode, punch the *OTH* button and go to item #20. Set it to On and see if that works.

Re: No TX audio on JS8CALL
Hi Chris,
I have a older v1.5 DigiRig but the pinout at the radio end should be identical with anything.

Re: IC-7000 + Rigblaster Advantage + HRD
Hi Don,
I have a RIGblaster PnP that I use with the 7K.
In my case, I chose to use a separate USB cable for the CI-V, and then used the 13-pin cable adapter (from the RIGblaster) for the auxiliary

Re: IC-7000 Hsend Vsend not going to ground
John N0JA,
H Send is on pin 3, V Send is on pin 7. 14 volts is on pin 8. The Send line is switched by a relay between H Send and V send. However, Send is switched to ground by a single

Re: IC-7000 Hsend Vsend not going to ground
Maybe you are expecting the circuit to do too much. I used an external
device to switch my amps on my 706, similar design. Don’t know what you are
doing with the send lines so no offense please.

Re: Mobile Installation RF shutting down radio - Fixed one choke before head.
Nice! Glad you figured it out. The 7000 is a great radio but they are sensitive to stray RF and low voltage.
Have fun with that kW!?? ; )
