Sponsorship of group

I have received one sponsor and we are at 50 members and growing daily. Are people still interested in sponsoring the group? If I get some sponsors (they don't need to be much to cover costs) I will switch to the paid model. That will allow us to go past the 100 member cap as well as it allows us to have sub threads and also to have a file repository among other things.

Thanks, Mel

Hi Mel,
What are you calling a ‘sponsor’? How much are you looking for? I think that this group is a ‘must have’ if we all want to keep async alive and useful.?

Hi Mel - Yes I am interested in helping out via sponsorship for a few bucks a month. How many sponsors would be the minimum viable number do you think? Can't remember the details about the yearly costs etc..

Hi, nice, it seems we are several ready to support the group. Like you, I just need a refresh on 'sponsor' role and fund that are still need and the process to see how I can support the initiative.

At this point I have the basic costs covered due to a couple of generous donations for this year.? So any donations now will go to future maintenance of the group.
It is whatever you feel comfortable with, and it can be as small as a yearly $5 sponsorship via groups.io or it can be via my GitHub PayPal button.
I will be upgrading the groups.io and I will be keeping the discord server going.? I also have ib_tools on my GitHub for sample code.

Thanks,
Mel

The group.io costs are low, I already have enough to cover the upgrade for this year.? Any extra will accumulate.
So for now we won't need any commitments.

Yes FP is helping me with that.? I'll probably set up storage for it on my GitHub or possibly in the files section here if it isn't too big.

You know, I've always wanted to learn the guitar, so if the old case in the corner contains one that could work as well.

Great, I have? made a donation. Hope that helps. Is there any update regarding teh archive from ib_insync?
