Not sure about the issue you mention with trying to update using the master id, but just to confirm? - is your use-case to update orders created by other client ids? So using your example above, you want to be able to update CLient id 7's orders from another client id and not client id 7 itself?

No, nothing there from you.

New features available #forum_planning

We now have the ability to have wikis for the group. If anyone has ideas of what they would like, let me know. We can also save files as well, but I'm not sure how much that will be used. I suppose it could be handy if someone has some code they want to share or collaborate on. Good code examples I will add to my GitHub for all to access. There are is also database capabilities that I haven't played with yet. Not sure if that one would apply to this group as the example show membership type databases or list of suppliers for hobby/DIY type groups. Again if you have ideas of things you'd like to try or see, just let me know. Are any of you good at Github Flavoured Markdown? I want to create a Wiki that has links to the async GH code repo, my GitHub for code samples, the Discord group... still trying to work out what all to put on it. Should I send an invite to the old groups members? FP parsed out the emails, so I could send a mass email to them in case they missed seeing the new group.

Thanks, Mel

Re: Group fees, sponsorship etc.

Txs for the link. I just gave 50$ on '/g/ib-async/sponsor'
Have a nice day!

Group fees, sponsorship etc.

Turns out I thought it was $.04 per member, but there is also a minimum of $20 per month (covers up to 500 members) and then $.04 per member over 500.
So we have enough for about 7 months at this point.

Sponsorship is either here: /g/ib-async/sponsor Or you can use the button on my GitHub:

Thanks, Mel

I just sent 20$

The group.io costs are low, I already have enough to cover the upgrade for this year.? Any extra will accumulate.
So for now we won't need any commitments.

Hi Mel - Yes I am interested in helping out via sponsorship for a few bucks a month. How many sponsors would be the minimum viable number do you think? Can't remember the details about the yearly costs etc..

At this point I have the basic costs covered due to a couple of generous donations for this year.? So any donations now will go to future maintenance of the group.
It is whatever you feel comfortable with, and it can be as small as a yearly $5 sponsorship via groups.io or it can be via my GitHub PayPal button.
I will be upgrading the groups.io and I will be keeping the discord server going.? I also have ib_tools on my GitHub for sample code.

Thanks,
Mel

I'll have a look, I didn't realize it was there, I was getting it from a different source, but it would be much better getting it from IB.

In TOS there used to be an indicator that would track advancing / declining issues calculate the difference and allow you to chart out the result over different time periods.
I see on the monitor window of the Monitor window of the desktop there is a tab for "Market Statistics" and this information is there in raw form.? How do I access these number for download and if possible is there a better way.

Goal:
To set minimum number of advancing issues before buying an option.? etc... etc...

Hi Mel,
What are you calling a ‘sponsor’? How much are you looking for? I think that this group is a ‘must have’ if we all want to keep async alive and useful.?

Re: 1 minute Overnight bars, ESM4 and NQM4 . Does Ib send the bars at the top of the minute

I think I have the answer from BP...Check the 5 second real time bars, and they use the last in OHLC.
So I guess the 1 minute that is made up from them in IB will be the same.
