Re: Seems like we moved + pcb fab idea.
I did something along the lines of 3 and 4, based on the scratch n etch approach discussed from time to time in this group. Here's my approach:

Not sure if you¡¯ve entirely missed the point.
You burn off the paint exposing the copper, then you drop it into the etchant. The remaining paint (on the tracks) acts as your mask.

CO2 laser is worst selection for this application.? The wavelength of the CO2 is *extremely* reflective on copper.? That's why their mirrors are made of copper.? (20+ years as a CO2 laser service

Re: Seems like we moved + pcb fab idea.
It¡¯s been on the to-do list for a while.
The ¡®kerf¡¯ of a CO2 laser is about 0.15mm, say 6 thou when cutting stuff, so I guess that¡¯s a reasonable guess for paint on copper. The actual

Let us know when you try it. I¡¯m very interested in the idea. Can you measure the laser line width when you try it?

Re: Seems like we moved + pcb fab idea.
I¡¯ve been meaning to try the laser paint PCB thing.
I¡¯ve done similar which is to etch the metal by burning the paint with high power, like these:

Seems like we moved + pcb fab idea.
Ok 3d printers are all the rage. I myself built one like 7+ years ago
But I have a fab idea based on a laser cutter idea I have seen.
They used black matt paint and laser ed away the paint and etched

Moving to Groups.io
The changeover for Electronics_101 went smoothly, it took about a week from creating the group, then it was over in a short time.

Toner transfer is only one method, the group is about more than that.
But it is up to each individual to determine if they get enough out of the group.

I'm thinking to leave the group as I never ever used toner transfer after I tried it.
I use presensitsed boards.
