[hammond_zone] Small Minds

There are no more Beatles. There are still Rolling Stones. There is still
AC/DC. There is no more Hocus pocus.(Thank God!) What's your rationalization
on that? Please keep all the references to "IMHO" out of this. I have yet to
see a "HUMBLE" opinion come out of some of the most prolific of the
emailer(s). A lot of pompous talk comes out of this Zone and as much as I
love the Zone, it irritates me to no end the innuendoes that some braggarts
throw around. Off course this is only "IMHO." And... The term "Adult" I use
has nothing to do with chronological age. I was referring to the hearts and
attitude age. I've heard more real music coming sincerely out of a guy
sitting on the street playing his feelings than all those "Prog" groups and
their gizmo's. Bottom line is "Labels belong on soup cans. The youth today
are not as lame as you make them out to be. How 'bout Johnny Lang? I really
wish the pompous folks in the Zone here would stay a bit more open and let a
musician feel free enough to experiment. Water seeks it's own level and so
will the musicians behind us if we give them chance to do so without putting
a "Your Wrecking our music.. boo hoo! The bottom line is, what do you think
Bach would have produced had he had access to the electronics we have today?
My guess people would have complained that "That Punk" is ruining our safe
and secure music we have today? PHF Bob

Nice little rant there Bobby,
That's it, be creative and positive, I am a firm believer that
emotion comes through and if it moves you, it don't really matter what
it is.

Thanks sinasac. Just screaming what I feel. I'm sure we'll get some
passionate comments on this one...both ways. OHF Bob

Stir, stir, stir the pot.I distinctly remember when the Beatles were considered
ear
splitting, ear covering prog rock. Then came the Yardbirds, Zep ,Jeff
Beck,Cream,ad

Haven't got a clue what you're going on about! Someone upset you Eh!

Time stands still for no man, progressions go on and either improve or
deteriorate music. Modern or ancient, there is good and bad of both.

Listen to what you like, ignore what you don't, music is personal taste
after all.

Time to lighten up I think. The guys on the streets that I've met take your
money and spend it on a fix. Not my idea of sincerity. But then that's
tarring with the same brush, there are some who busk for the love of it...
just not many around here.

Now, back to Hammonds I think. My mind ain't big enough to cope with all
this!

LOL!!
Daz (my brain hurts)
