Ok, I got all the things i need to do the job, maybe alittle more confidence
might help.Anyway, anyone care to give me the short course on installing this
kit onto my a-100.I plan on coming off of the AO-39 as Ron has suggested.

Thanks for the assistance.........Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I know you have a 26-1 kit now, but do you have the 5 pin connector to go
with it? If you do here is how to hook it up. I will tell you the pin
numbers as well as the wire colors of the 5 pin incase you have to make one
up.

The 5 pin connector is the part that gets wired to the A-100.
Mount the 26-1 kit on the inside right of the A-100 cabinet, it is close to
the AC and the AO-39 plus it is the only place that has enough room:)

Cut the black and green wires leading from the AO-39 amp to the speakers
some where in the middle.(somewhere so that the wires from the 5 pin console
connector will reach.)

Splice the black wire leading to pin 1 with the black wire from the speaker
and the black wire from the amp. Use a wire nut to join them, a little
solder would not hurt either.

Solder the gray wire leading to pin 2 to AC.( the best place to get the AC
is under the metal shielding on the far right of the AO-28, remove the two
screws and you will see a blue and gray terminal)

Hook the green wire leading to pin 3 to the green wire leading to the
speaker.Use a wire nut.

Solder the blue wire leading to pin 4 to other half of AC.

Hook the red wire leading to pin 5 to the green wire leading to the AO-39
amp. Use a wire nut.

I almost forgot, there are two ways to feed the wires from the switches to
the back of the organ. The first way is to strip the wires back on both the
switches and twist them together so both wires or attached. Get a coat
hanger and straighten it out, put a small bend at the end so you can use it
to fish the wires through.
If you look at the front left of the organ under the manuals, you will see
a gap about 1/4 inch or so with a strip of felt that runs the length of the
organ. Feed the wires through the gap, they will have to go 6 or 7 inches in
before you can see them from the rear. Grab them with the
coathanger-fish-thing from the back, watching out for the oiling threads on
the start motor, and thats it. It can be a pain but they will go through.
The second way is to lift the manuals, but try the fish thing first it is a
lot less work.
Use some plastic zip ties to keep all the wires neat and tidy and you are
done!!
Cheers,
Ron Bell.

Hey ther Ron,

I was looking at the inside of the 26-1 and discovered that there is no wires
going to the trem socket or the echo socket.I figure this is where the half
moon switches plug in.I think maybe someone in the past did some creative
wiring for some reason. Can you shed some light on what wires are supossed to
be attached to the respective sockets.

thanks.......jeff

Jeff,
If you follow this link, you'll find a diagram of a Leslie connector kit;
. He's used
the diagram for a Wurlitzer kit, but if you ignore the piggy-back adapter
bottom left and just look at the red, green and black wires coming from it
to the kit you'll get the idea. The red wire takes the signal coming from
your organ amp (break into the green wire to the speakers), the green wire
connects to the organ speakers and the black wire goes to organ ground, most
conveniently the terminal on the speakers where the original black wire is
connected.

The wiring diagram is at ,

Ignore the wurli. hookup on the left and follow the instructions from my
last mail and you will be ready to rock!! Make sure your kit matches the
wiring diagram from the link, if some one has been messing with the kit
double check every thing!!

Cheers,
Ron Bell.
