Crowded House & other 80s stuff

Almost forgot TOTO...no Hammond but great synth solos..Rosanna is a
classic. Golden Brown was unforgettable, and the Eagles are still
very 'listenable'

Ferris Beaulers day off changed my life forever. Chika...chikaaa

Being a teenager in the 80s the depressing music was
great...Tangerine Dreams blew me away...but my favourite album was on
an 8track I brought from a second-hand shop...Booker T and the MG's,
presumably from the decade before. "This Guys In Love With You" will
stay with me for a long time. Sadly I didn't record it and it got
chewed up in a 'Powerhouse' drum unit which I still have. Anyone know
what album that would have been?

Smokin Bill Dogget and his Combo was in my top 20 album collection,
but my Dads Harry Stoneham LP's were awesome. I often nicked
em...along with Brian Auger and the Trinity and Santana.

Darren

PS The Bonzo Dog Dooda band captured my attention too....I'm still
waiting for Noises of the Leg to feature in a Rap

Steve Lukather is one of my guitar heroes - minor one actually but
still deserving the honours LOL. LA session boys having some serious
fun. Very good rock in all aspects. Occasionally spinning, while
flying on the M27 on my way to work.

agree, Golden Brown and early eagles i mean

(snip)

agree on the blew me away, didnt find Tangerine depressing however,
more like soothing (loved 80's Logos, Force Majeure and Underwater
Sunlight). Talk about depressing there is nothing like Joy Division's
Closer or Bauhaus...

MG's,

ooohhh are we talking about ... the awakening to bigger things? ;-)

cheers t
