[hammond_zone] Both Feet?
Hi Ron,

when I exercise on the pedals I mainly use I foot but I use both for "walking" bass lines and "fast" lines... I've often heard that both pedals are used in these two cases but that means you can't use dynamics whilst playing... I really like to use dynamics in my playing... so I think that I foot is preferable. Just my 2c, Roger Does anyone ever use both feet? |
Ron Newman
That's how I see it Roger.

I could think that individual Hammond sounds can be boring but what makes the instrument interesting is the dynamics and the variety of the sounds. The switches from one sound to another. I do like that scream at the top and swoop down to a sudden soft sub tone at the bottom of the keyboard. But there are lots of other dramatic tricks. Yeah it's the dramatic tricks which make the instrument live. Me too, I use the volume pedal with almost everything I play. That Joey DeFrancesco master class is good isn't it? You seen it? But his tutorial book seems to be more for piano. I'd get it if it had lots for Hammond. Ron. ----- Original Message -----
