TS870 CAT Control

Bill Neumann All Messages By This Member #97945 This might be a shot in the dark, but I cannot seem to get Logger32 to talk to my Kenwood TS870. I have tried everything I can see in the manual, but still not getting any where. I admit, I am a total newbie but do have a decent understanding of computer ports and connections. When I look at the debug window, I see it polling the B VFO and not the A. Any insight would be a greatly appreciated. ? 73 Bill KB0RMS ?

Bill Neumann All Messages By This Member #97962 Hi Bob, Being a total newbie with this, I get the same as you show using the TS2000 If I use just "Kenwood" as it says in the help pages, I get this The port used is three(3) If I unplug the radio, port 3 does drop out on the pc.? Only thing I can think of is a bad RS232 port on the radio? 73 Bill

Check "Set DTR high" or check "Set RTS high" or Check " USE CTS/RTS Hardware Handshaking" This is sample settings for my TS480.
