Please confirm that you have Logger32.autoinstaller.exe set to run 'as administrator'.. If you do, then try temporarily turning off your anti-virus software. Something or some configuration on your PC is preventing Logger32.autoinstaller.exe?from copying files.
?
If all else fails, you could try the do the auto-update manually. Do this:
?
1) First (always do this first) backup all your logbooks in ADIF format and hide them under the mattress.
2) Stop Logger32
3) Find the \updatefiles folder in the default Logger32 directory.?
4) One of the files in \updatefiles is Logger32.exe (with a create date of yesterday)
5) Copy this file over the existing Logger32.exe in the default Logger32 directory.
6) Run Logger32.

I'm an experienced Windows user and have implemented all the items on pages 60-62 or the manual but still get the same error message. I added logger32.exe to my firewall exception list, checked the internet options boxes and was successfully able to download and update the Club log files, ran AL32 as Administrator, and also added debug to the shortcut.? Still get the same message. I could not find a loogger32 update.exe file that was mentioned in the documents.nor find the debug file but i did find this: Deleting C:\Logger32\Rollback files C:\Logger32\Rollback created 11 INI files copied to C:\Logger32\Rollback ADIFModes.txt copied to C:\Logger32\Rollback ADIFBands.txt copied to C:\Logger32\Rollback Deleting \updates folder Downloading version 4.0.336.? Watch the progress bar File will be loaded in 72 64kB chunks 4646346 bytes transferred Unzipping downloaded file Unzipping file: LOGGER32.EXE Unzipping file: LOGGER32ROLLBACK.EXE Unzipping file: AUTOINSTALLER.EXE Unzipping file: QRX.EXE Unzipping file: CW.EXE Unzipping file: ARRL SCRAPER.EXE Unzipping file: FAUXCNTY.CSV Unzipping file: RETURNFOCUS.EXE Unzipping file: US-CA.CSV Unzipping file: FAUXSTATE.CSV Unzipping file: CHANGE DEP.BAT Completed : 11 files unzipped Now going to auto-backup (if enabled) and close Logger32 Which seems to me that the update is downloading just fine but the program isn't.There have been no windows updates and .335 works just fine.? I've never had this problem before, and yes i made two backups of my logbook before I started changing things.. Any other suggestions? Dave WB2PJH |

Dave Can you find Logger32autoinstaller.exe in the Logger32 folder? Then, set it to run as administrator. 73 de aki JA1NLX

Let me try one more time -- from a program Logger32autoinstaller.exe. The update is being uploaded and unzipped without error. When Logger32autoinstaller runs it is unable to copy the files that were downloaded into the correct places in the default Logger32 directory.

Let me try one more time -- the problem is with a program Logger32autoinstaller.exe. The update is being uploaded and unzipped without error. When Logger32autoinstaller runs it is unable to copy the files that were downloaded into the correct places in the default Logger32 directory. You need to set Logger32autoinstaller.exe to 'run as administrator'. You need to make sure Logger32autoinstaller.exe is not being blocked by your AV software.

And, what happened when you followed the instructions to manually install the update? SeventyThree(s).
