If all else fails, you could just feed power into a 435 mhz ant, like
a 1/4 GP / dipole / small yagi .....in the garage or basement etc.
How much power does the DL have to handle @ 435 mhz ??? If the
existing DL is good up to 54 mhz, or 144 mhz...... and only low power
is used on 435 mhz.... perhaps a separate, lower powered DL could be
used for 220/440 mhz bands.
