makes $30.00 per hour. The non union butcher... at the same
Safeway grocery store makes just $10.00 per hr... and no benefits
at all. Safeway finally beat the crap outa the union... and the
result was.... the union guys/gals all got grandfathered.[as long
as they remained at the same store.. didn't transfer to another
store] As part of the... "deal"... ALL new employee's of safeway
are now non union.
### last heard... their is only 50 unionized employee's left in
BC... out of hundreds. Prices have risen.. so CEO must be making
a killing. So much for passing along the.."savings" to the
customer.
