In grid-driven service, the 4cx3000A has a power gain of c. 60x.

I never tried driving the grid but in gg it is close to X15 when motivated by a pair of UTC CG310s on the high taps. I've read your article a number of times on the on you did Rick. Frank wa1gfz

Funny, the YC-156 TRIODE has 3 times that gain in GG.
I drive my grid driven 4CX3000A by a 4CX350a in class A
which I integrated into the amp

I would like to see a schematic of that one. Funny?I was just looking at the specs of the 4cx350. I'm not sure if?I want to build an IPA of drive the grid. GG is very stable but needs a lot of drive. I can do class A and get 1500 watts out with 100 watts of drive but more drive is required for QRO. (my viking 2 is a good driver for AM mode) gfz

In the last year my tower has taken two direct lightning strikes which
tripped a 30 amp breaker each time. Whoever is running that amp has my
vote. :-)
