Obviously the Administrator, aka Tom Raunch, is doing severe
monitoring. Any posts are coming out in one shot. I posted a message
about this site so chances are, it won't make it. I'll bide my time.

Re: New Group!

Indeed. The posting rate on AMPS appears to be decreasing, thanks to censoring posts.

Re: 4CX1200A7

John -- Soaking the tube for a day in a bucket containing detergent
and ammonia might help. For cleaning up a tube's anode cooler and
ceramic parts, I use Bon Ami?, a soft cloth, a toothbrush and rinse
with purified water.

Hello to the new group.

I purchased a Henry 3K Ultra from a friend. Little did either of us
know, but a mouse decided to build a nest on top of the tube's cooler.
Apparently he liked smoke blown up his fanny. No, there is no
carcass,
but the cooler is disgusting and about 5% of the fins are obstructed.

Any thoughts for removing the... debris from this dude?

Thanks,
John, N9RF

Re: Real Yahoo amp on Ebay...

Rich & DJ

"Oil Field Capasaders" are required because the extra oil insulates the
case of the cap better at 36,000 volts.

Wow! I would really like to get ahold of one of them "oil field
capasaders!" Maybe that is the key to the tremendous power of this
wonderful amplifier.
