In 2016, I came across a Nova mount for sale on Astromart and contacted Charles Riddel for his opinion on its suitability for my TAK 102, and he highly recommended it. I later upgraded to a TAK TSA 120. The mount is nothing short of incredible. I did mention to Charles that I thought the black finish was much prettier than the aluminum finish, and he said that in 2012, he found he could no longer economically manufacture the black anodized mounts because no one was doing this, and the costs had skyrocketed.

Later, I was told by Derek Wong, the gentleman I purchased the mount from, that only three had been made in black.? Does anyone know whether or not this is true. I regret never having got back with Charles.

Very nice Randy, I've not seen many of the black anodised versions.... looks quite different to my own 'natural' coloured one !

To be honest, what first caught my eye was... " where did he get those 'Saturn' shaped hinges from (on the fence panels !!!!!) "
