This group is for all folks running the original IBM VM/370 Release 6 operating system (or later (e.g. VMTCE (Community Edition)) on Hercules. Like the other early IBM operating systems this version has always been in the public domain and so can be freely distributed. The base version as supplied by IBM is lacking in many facilities. IBM solved this by providing additional extension products which were licensed and so are not available. There are however many user enhancements available which can be installed. In addition, in order to get users up and running quickly updated "releases" of VM/370 included the most popular updates are available for download, so novices can start to learn VM without having to delve into the system internals. It is intended that this wiki will provide information on the base release and these updates.
The available versions are here :-

Re: Oh FULIST, Where Have You Gone?
I have a REXX driven prototype of RDRLIST based on The New EE and similar preparations for FILELIST, but my development has come to a full stop due to my health.
I still do not have access to ADHD

Re: Oh FULIST, Where Have You Gone?
FULIST and FLIST are quite similar.? The first look was identical.
As end-user you need some adaption to migrate to FIELLIST, there you can type over the file information.? In FULIST/FLIST here

Re: Oh FULIST, Where Have You Gone?
What's the use and where's the fun in being a VM Programmer if you can't tweak the utilities to your liking ;-)
I guess this means that FILELIST is closer to FULIST than FLIST is, and I'll stop

Oh FULIST, Where Have You Gone?
I have seen references to FULIST, and how wonderful it was.
Does anyone have anything, more than yearnings for it, such as screen shots, documentation, or horrors, code?
Thanks In Advance.

Thanks for the hints. I used Rexx a lot (since VM/SP3 on a 4341 to the abandon of OS/2) [Then I switched to Java in order to avoid Windows even if my shop was using it) and since my

Just two hints:
#!/usr/bin/env rexx
makes your script more portable
Do l = 1 while lines(csvFile) > 0
is a short form of your condition
