"SDR Revisited" performance vs. RSP-1A

Hooked up my MLA-30 and was able to drag in WWV at 10 MHz, but very little else.? For comparison, I hooked up the RSP-1A and got excellent WWV at 5 and 15 as well, plus lots of broadcast and other stuff.
I used MLA-30 Bias-T box for the Elektor unit, but the RSP-1A provides its own feed.? That box is considered a bit noisy by some, but it may also be RF front end overload.? In any event, I can't believe that it
should be that bad.? Anyone got experience / ideas? thanks so much !/mark

I do not understand what you are asking or comparing:

What setup do you compare to what else? Or should I first read other posts?

RSP1a

"You pays your money and you takes your choice"

With a decent aerial, the Elektor SDR Shield works fairly well especially here in Europe where sw broadcast signals are very strong especially on 41m band, and hence why sensitivity is not that important.

is a good reference to the MLA-30 Antenna for those interested.
