Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Jean-Marc is correct. When the G8JCFSDR connects to the SDR Shield it checks the version of the firmware in the Arduino, and if it is not the correct version U will be prompted to upload the firmware.

Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Hi Dietmar The Start Menu entry for Build 280 has an entry Log File which will load the Logfile into Notepad. If U right click on the Start-Menu Log File entry, select Properties, U can see exactly
Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Hi Dietmar From the screenshot of the trace, I think U may have selected the incorrect Elektor SDR mode in Config. You need to select ElektorSDRShield The ElektorSDRShield does not use RTS,TXD,DTR -

Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
The Arduino ( Nano Pro) was a fresh one just with bootloader. That did not work. In the meantime I flashed I¡¯d manually. THX Mit freundlichem Gru? / kind regards, Dietmar Steiner from technologies

Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Hi Dietmar, If the Arduino program "si5351vfoGM8JCF.hex" is already loaded, G8JCFSDR don't reload it. It's because before flash it, G8JCFSDR check the uploaded version asking Arduino with question

Hi Peter, i mean that your program will automatically flash the Firmware on the controller while starting it... Please Tell me how to start your Programm in debug mode. Thx Mit freundlichem Gru? /

Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Hi Dietmar I don't really understand what U mean by "Automatic¡° Mode when starting the Programm unfortunately Can U please start the G8JCFSDR in Trace mode and then send the log file to me please.

Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Hello Peter, flashing with Xloader worked Perfect. But not the ?Automatic¡° Mode when starting the Programm. When configuring within the GUI I get Runtime Errors and the program crashes

Re: G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Hi Dietmar The XLoader method is the simplest way of uploading the firmware, I have never heard of a failure using XLoader. If XLoader doesn't work, then there is something very wrong in the sw setup

Hello Peter, thanks for your fast response. There was no other Process locking the Com Port. But let me double check this tomorrow. I also had some runtime errors that aborted the Programm. I am

Hi Please make sure that the Arduino IDE is not running and perhaps locking the COM port, then try starting G8JCFSDR. If that doesn't work, then If U have installed Build 280, then try and use the

G8JCFSDR no Arduino Upload
Hello, when starting the sdr Software (WOIN 10) , there will not start any upload of the firmware to the arduino NANO. I connected 3,3 v , 5 v, GND, SCL and SCA. Arduino Uploads from the IDE work

Re: CLK2 & Clk3
Hi Bryan The main thing about the simple approach of leaving CLK2 on all the time would be interference with received signals, but because there is an Arduino UNO, we could use a digital input for the

Re: CLK2 & Clk3
Hi Peter It was just a thought bubble! If one of the other clocks tracked the ?CLK1 by a known amount it could be a basis for a low power Transmitter. I have a V1 board also . I see no difference

Re: CLK2 & Clk3
Hi Bryan With the current G8JCFSDR Arduino firmware, build 274/280, CLK *0* &CLK *2* are not switched on - I had a V1 version of the SDR shield when I wrote the firmware, and don't have a V2 SDR
