Locked Auto Tune memory clear

 

Howdy everyone,

I just changed antennas and would like to clear all the AT memory settings in my FTDX10. From the selection on the rig and what I can find in the users manual, it looks like I'll also clear other memory presets. ?Is there a way to reset ONLY the auto tuned memories?

At the suggestion of another member here, I called Yaesu customer support and they verified there is no way to clear the AT memory except by doing a full memory reset. :-(
 

If you use your PC to back up the settings, does it include the AT settings?

It wouldn't hurt to try saving all the settings then do a factory reset and restore.

Plan B - Take a look at the saved settings file for something obvious for the AT?

I considered this issue a while ago. Then, I realized that if you cause a tune cycle every 10khz or so across the band with the new antenna,? you overwrite the old settings. Maybe not 100% perfect, but is a easy practical solution

Excellent point. ?I'm planning to explore this option.

?The retuning is of course possible and my only other option; however, I now have two bands with 1
to very low SWR that have tuning presets from my previous antenna. ?It would be nice to have the memory cleared out for those bands rather than do retunes. ?Your point is well taken though.
