Waters and Stanton

I purchased an ATX walkabout and they sent the wrong one (wanted the
PL-259, got the BNC connector) - Not really problem, things happen.
But when I have emailed them (Mark Francis) 4 times and they won't
respond, something is wrong with their service.

Anyone else have a problem with these folks?

They sent me the 80m version by mistake, I called them direct and they sent
me out the ATX ASAP and did not make me send back the wrong one.

My own experiences with W&S have been very good in all dealings over
many years. They have always been helpful on the phone and a good
crowd to deal with.

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience.

I ordered the PL259. This morning a package arrived, invoice says PL259, I received a BNC version! I'll be on the 'phone later today.

What I'm doing is:

[1] Forgetting W&S
[2] Buying a PL259 <-> BNC adapter from Radaufunk in Germany - very competent man, understood exactly what I needed.

So, I'll soon be up in the 10,000ft (3,000m) mountains...
