Source for ribbon cable and locking tab?

 

I'm working on an FT-818 for a friend. The locking tab that holds down the ribbon cable on the main board (the one to the display) is missing. I also suspect the ribbon cable is damaged... when I can get the radio to power up, the display flashes on and off. Anyone know of a source for the cable and the locking tab?

Hi Josh, you will have to buy the connecter,?
Get the part numbers from the service manual, and call yaesu direct, they will sell you the parts,

Thanks Dave, I found the ribbon cable but not the locking bar that is part of the connector on the main board. Anyone know of a source for the locking bar??

The locking bar is part of the connector. Sometimes they pop off and can't be found. In that case, you need to replace the whole connector.
