RANT re: Yahoo capitalists

Gawd, I am so sick of hearing people complain about their own choices.

If you don't want to provide the info, DON'T. Yahoo! then limits
your use of the group.

GUESS WHAT! THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DO THIS! IT IS LEGAL, MORAL, AND
NON-FATTENING!

I don't like Dan Rather. So, ya know what I do? I CHANGE THE
CHANNEL!

TANSTAAFL
(There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch)

They gotta pay for the servers, programmers, network administrators,
support personnel (yah, I'm sure you think that's a joke, too), fiber
optic data lines, accounting, marketing, other personnel, etc. Using
this kind of info -- SELLING it -- is ONE way they manage not only to
cover expenses, but actually are one of *very* few Internet companies
to make a profit!

If you can't handle the agreement YOU made -- to Yahoo! Groups Terms
of Service -- then GET OUT! No one forced you to make that
agreement, nor is anyone making you stand by it now. YOU chose to
agree; ONLY YOU can prevent forest fires---oops, I mean, choose to
terminate that agreement (oh, I suppose Yahoo! could also, but if you
aren't abusing the service then I imagine it's unlikely).

I have never, to my knowledge, been contacted directly by anyone
associated with Yahoo! or someone who has bought marketing data from
them. But if I were, I'd tell them I wasn't interested, and then
consider if I wanted to continue my relationship with Yahoo!

Point is, it is YOUR decision. Live with it, or don't. But PUUUUHHH-
LEEEZE, stop whining.

Rant Ends

Steve I started this thread and I am ending it here and now. I was
WHINING for a good reason I am not moaning particularly about them
being a pack of nosey sods I was moaning about being disconnected
from the yahoo ft817 group without notification for the second time.
AND having to register an e-mail address with them to reconnect.
It is my decision to stay with a good group without interference from
the server. There my rant ends AND puuuhh-leeze AS sTEVE phhhUUUTTTSS
IT LETS STOP THIS THREAD NOW MOANS OVER.
