Here is some preliminary information about the new transceiver. Keep in mind that this list will grow as more information becomes available, and it's all subject to change. We're expecting them to hit the streets in Q4 of this year!
  • TX Range: 160 - 10 Meters, 50 MHz, 144 MHz and 430MHz US Amateur Bands, plus Alaska Emergency Channel (5167.5 kHz)
  • RX Range: 100 kHz – 56 MHz; 76 – 154 MHz; 420 – 470 MHz (Exact limits are not certain at this time).
  • Power Output: 5 Watts with 9.6V Battery Pack; 2 Watts with “AA” batteries.
  • Modes: USB, LSB, CW, AM, FM, W-FM, Digital (SSB), Packet (1200/9600 FM)
  • 200 regular memory channels plus Band Limit (PMS) and Home Channels
  • Two-Color multi-function display (Blue or Amber)
  • AM Aircraft and FM Broadcast (W-FM) Reception
  • Built-in CW keyer with adjustable pitch, CW paddle Normal/Reverse and full break-in (QSK) operation
  • Microphone Up/Down buttons can be used as CW "paddle"
  • Dedicated SSB-based digital modes for PSK-31 on USB/LSB, AFSK RTTY Etc.
  • Dual antenna jacks (BNC- Front, UHF- Rear)
  • Alpha-numeric naming of memory channels.
  • Built-in VOX
  • CTCSS and DCS built-in
  • Automatic Repeater Shift
  • Dual VFO's with split capability and R.I.T (Clarifier)

I saw the list price might be 110,000 yen. Anyone know what the Japanese list price is for the FT-100 for comparison?

HI I enjoy reading about the ft817 I bought one how ever you
put the information about it on all my emaile addresses I cant aviod
it every were I read email there it is every thing I joined o e
groups is every were the ft817 the vs5 ect ect why is that how can
