I have searched for 3 nights for more info on 817 no japanese sight
seems to be showing anything yet. 1 sight had details but no pics and
the details were very sparse. does anyone know of a new flat speaker
of about the same size as the 817 about 10-15mm thick I think this
would be an ideal way to have decent quality while out portable
strapped to the underneath. me thinks Yaesu have designed the top
mounted speaker in the wrong place, its ok if you have it mounted
flat but if you are holding it & tuning with the ducky on it surely
a bottom mounted speaker would have been better as this is the side
which will be facing you.
