I've just uploaded an SWL English language frequency file that has
about 100 or so International Broadcast frequencies listed. The file
is in .CSV format and can be found in the "Files/Frequency
files/Shortwave/" section. It is intended for use with FTBasic to
fill your FT-817's memories from #100 to #200.
This allows you to easily "merge" this stuff with whatever you have
in 0-99 without overwriting. It will, of course, overwrite 100-200.
Or you can fiddle with it to suit yourself.
The file includes a number of popular and easily received countries
(in N. America at least) who broadcast frequently on a daily basis.
Each country has 2 to 16 entries for the various frequencies they
transmit on. The list ought to be current for summer use, but, is by
no means complete. There are thousands of these things! It will,
however, provide some easy SWLing for you. Just "go fishing" now and
again once your memories are loaded up.
Unfortunately, scheduling info couldn't be included due to lack of
space (fields) in the standard .CSV file. Further info is available
by searching the www for "SWL" sites. The "ODXA" search will lead you
to an excellent site of the Ontario DX Association, an active SWL
group in Ontario, Canada.
Also, I had to resort to some alphanumeric trickery to indicate tags
within the allotted 8 characters... Netherlands is Holland,
Ausralia is OZ, England is BBC, etc.
There's an oddity in that some Tx offsets appear as 0.1 rather than
0. This shouldn't affect anything since all these freqs are outside
our bands anyway.
Good Listening!
