CAT CTCSS programming info & Cloning Process

Bob,

Thanks for posting the info on the CTCSS Tones.

From your posts I gather that you are producing FT Basic
at cost/a loss to yourself. And are doing it to further
the 817 community.

Would you be willing to share what you have found out about
the cloning process so that as a group we can tackle the
Palm and Linux interfaces to the radio?

I am currently working with another individual to develop a
LGPL'ed Linux/C++ cloning and CAT class interface to the 817.

72/73,

Bryan - k0emt

There must be some misunderstanding here. I am developing
FTBasic for a number of reasons; one is because I enjoy ham radio
and programming, but another is that I am trying to supplement
my income so as to better support me and mine. The investment in
time and effort has been, and remains significant.

Sorry, but no.

I wish you well in your efforts with Linux.

I don't wish to appear rude, but by putting things plainly I hope
to clarify the position.

Not at all Bob. I appreciate your straight-forwardness.
For various reasons I was not sure of your position.

Well put Bob. If more people would straight talk it would be a better world. I am sure most everyone understands your position. Now if the people in Washington DC will follow suit?????
