Why do people think buying an HL-50B direct is illegal? Part 97
specifically forbids importing this amp for sale or lease, but doesn't
say we can't import for use. What is not forbidden is allowed.
I'm not aware of any ham equipment that we are not allowed to import
for our own use. We are allowed to buy, we are allowed to build, and
we are allowed to use. Only selling is illegal. Am I wrong?
