And if you cut the wire on the battery case side (i.e. the plug, not the
rig's socket) you leave the rig "as new".
Charges at c180ish mAh so run it for two 8 or ten hour cycles and you'll e
up and away.

The green wire needs to be cut if you are using rechargeable batteries.
The green wire is there to prevent an alkaline battery from being
accidentally charged.
