Old Martin Machines

I recently found a 1969 T51 jointer that matches up nicely with my T75 slider and I am looking to get a T40 or 41 planer. I found this one in germany... Global Forwarding quoted me $2000 for door to door delivery. (could that be possible???) Any thoughts on this. Has anyone out there ever shipped from overseas? Any feedback or opinions are welcome.
