I am brand new to the Felder Owners Group and joined at a friend's suggestion. I'm looking to purchase a used Felder AD 741 Jointer-Planer, ideally with the spiral cutterhead and power drive table adjustment.? Since I'm new I don't know if this is the right place to post this message. If not I'll appreciate any guidance.?I already have one Felder Machine, the FB 510 Band Saw, and now it's time for Felder number two.

Greg, welcome to the group! This wouldn't happen to be the one and only Greg Mix of Danville, CA, would it? This is Shawn, I built your entry door years ago, even though you could have done it yourself. To everyone else, Greg here built the most beautiful grandfather clock I've seen, along with a Blacker armchair, and other various accoutrement. You're welcome here anytime. It is 3 phase, does not have a spiral cutter but does have Digidrive (numeric keypad).?

Hi Shawn! Yes, it is I. Thanks for the nice compliment, but to the contrary the real work of art in our house is our front door. To this day, when we open it, we often see whoever is standing there staring at it in admiration. You, together with Ted Ellison who did the stained glass made that happen. Thank you!

Whelp, that did not disappoint. Fantastic entry door! I perused the site for a minute and those are some awesome doors. The glass is definitely a nice touch, i remember watching a short youtube video of a door company in california, and they had an awesome glass fabricator too. The one panel they did looked like a watercolor painting, it was sweet. didnt hurt that the shop had a bunch of martin equipment to stare at during the build process.?
How is the door business? Thats the one facet of the craft where i think i would focus if i had to make a living at it.?
