Hammer dust chute revisited...
I worked with fellow FOGer Tom Fulmer on fine tuning the 3D printed dust chute adapter for the Hammer machines. After quite a few iterations I have a solution that actually works. Hopefull nobody printed the first one I posted, it was a pretty bad failure... that's what happens when I do things without proper measurements and engineering. Any way, if anybody wants one, I'd be happy to print some, contact me off the list at blamb11@... I'll attach a 3D PDF file of what it looks like, which is easier to see how it all works than in pictures. It slips on the dust chute and then hangs off the metal ears sticking out off the sides. Hi Brian Since I live in Europe buying a printed model is off the radar. Are you willing to sell the stl and/or fusion file? Regards

Does that clear everything? Pictures I have from Tom look like it wouldn't on the side closest to the blade. I had to remove the bolt on that side completely. Brian Lamb blamb11@... lambtoolworks.com

Jup it clears everything. Been working great for the past few weeks. I my case i added a slight bend forwards because if have to clear a homemade throughput for an extra on off switch on my sliding table. As can be seen in the picture below. Ican take a picture of the inside with the blade fully tilted if you want to. |
Glad it's working for you. I only had pictures to go by and it looked like that flange around the top would hit the belt cover on the motor. Brian Lamb blamb11@... lambtoolworks.com
