electrical features for sawblade on KF700

 

Can anyone share the pros and cons of?electrical height adjustment and angle adjustment of the sawblade on the KF700 (or other Felder slider saw). I am planning a purchase. Slider will be 9 feet. It's a pricy option, but not something one can get later; wondering if it's worth it.??
 

well, the pros and cons are obvious, fast, easy and pricey :)

It really depends on what you do. If you frequently?need to make the non-thru cut at different height and angle, then it is worth it. Otherwise, forget about it.??

Get DRO on crosscut / rip fence and digital height adjustment for the shaper. That is what I have for my KF700sp, no regrets.

I just ordered thr KF700SP.? There is a package deal on full power drive.? Not that much more than manual with indicators.?

Pro:? It's gee wiz cool and allows you to return to pre-sets.


Con: big $$$, and something else to break or malfunction.?? We all know how how reliable electronics can be sometimes and future availability of parts can be a crap shoot.
