Hello! I am a new member to this forum...wish I had found it a long time ago.
Anyway, I own a 2012 A3 31 combo machine that I am struggling to get dialed in. We had to replace a chain, sprocket and nylon bushing which required taking the machine apart beyond what we expected or planned to replace the parts.
Now we are struggling to get the machine recalibrated and working correctly. Currently, the jointer table is working decently...took several hours to figure out all of the adjustment nuance with the table but once we understood it, we are now well on our way to having the jointer table adjusted to within spec.
This PIA issue now is making the thicknesser table coplanar with the infeed and outfeed rollers and knife block.
I have spent hours upon hours troubleshooting this issue to no avail. I have been working directly with Felder tech support but this has not been particularly helpful. They have reached out to Austria for additional input but so far no word from the parent company.
One of the confusing items with my machine is the lack of a mechanical adjustment for the infeed, outfeed or knife block positions. I understand newer machines now have an adjustment built into the spring tension adjustment bolt for the infeed and outfeed rollers. I do not have this; only the ability to change the spring tension on the rollers themselves.
At the base of the of the thicknesser table are four adjustment bolts/jack screws. I have tried my mightiest to get the table level to all three rollers but have failed every time.
Anyone have suggestions or a method to tackle this adjustment? Thanks in advance.
