160 mm dust collection ducting in the USA

Kamal, thanks for the recommendation for Blastgate Company, I was about to go down the PVC route again for my new shop, but placed an order with them today.
Most HVAC Supply places here in Southern AZ weren't really helpful in being able to place an order.

Yes, the Blastgate Company is very well regarded for their highly competitive pricing.? Interestingly, while some critique the quality of their ductwork, many consider their blast gates to be better quality than most of the competition.? As for the lower quality duct work: if that's a concern, a pail of water based duct sealant can easily be painted on, and will address any minor leaks in the ducting.

Michael, not sure why your local Felder dealer told you they do not sell 160 mm ducting?? I recently set up my dust collection system with 160 mm ducting with quick connect clamps.? I purchased these components through Felder's headquarters in Delaware:
2 Lukens Drive, Suite 100-400
New Castle, DE 19720
Tel. 866-792-5288
Fax 302-322-9865?
I will say that it is a slow process to get everything you need as most components come directly from Austria (typically 6-week turnaround). All components are available to order on there website.? I ended up with several spare parts so if you are interested, I can send you a list of components I have.? Let me know.

Well, that's very interesting to hear!? I will go back to Felder and ask again, perhaps more insistently.? Since I originally posted this, my dust collector research has brought me to the brink of purchase of a Hocker Polytechnic Vacumobil unit.? They produce higher static pressure than the Felder collectors, which is a big plus at my altitude of 6400' here in Lake Tahoe.? Regardless, I've also just asked Hocker America if they also import the metric ducts, but I haven't yet heard back.

My Blastgate Co order arrived, and I got it put up over the weekend, being a spiral pipe order
?
All in all, happy with the pipe and most of the fittings, I had some problems with the size of the Male-Male (Pipe-Pipe) connectors, about 50% of them were too large, Blastgate Co sent out replacements, and had about the same yield, was able to make it work, but a little frustrating.
?
As for mounting, I opted for hard mounting of the ducting to the walls and ceiling using Unistrut and a collection of 4" and 6" clamps built for EMT (had to use some spacers to make it Gud-N-Tite, so maybe order 3.5"/5.5" if you were going this route. Its much better than the PVC mix I've been using and very happy with the purchase.?

Hey Karl...good to hear things went well with the order and installation.? I used a mixture of plywood type brackets and heavy duty zip ties for my wall brackets...will see how they hold up.
