Re: Retiring and Selloing Everthing
You should also consider your selling motivation/strategy. For example, your Hammer A3/41 will sell in a heartbeat if your price is 'reasonable'. That's fine if you want to just get rid of stress about selling the stuff and giving someone a gift. (I'm pretty sure that would describe me).
If you want to get as much as you can, price it higher than reasonable and wait a bit. I put my Hammer a3/31 up for sale here and on Craigslist and had at least five serious buyers in a couple of hours. I sold it the next day. I was fine with it and the new owner was delighted, but it was likely priced too low. It won't take too much research to find the right price to sell it. And if you are too low, you'll know in hours. |

Re: Airtight Clamps on a K700S
开云体育Mike, It may be different on your saw but besides std locking position I can also lock when the slider is fully out, as it would be for loading a sheet. It may not be the intended use but the Locking lever hits (IIRC) the front of the base extrusion under the slider. Imran On Mar 17, 2022, at 2:32 PM, Mike Bemis <Michaelsbemis@...> wrote:

Re: Overhead saw guard question
Now I understand what I am looking at ? I appreciate you fellows staying with me until I figured it out.
I suspect the screws holding the eccentric posts in place were installed with thread lock compound, as I have not been able to break them loose. Has that been your experience? Should I be using a heat gun on these? I am afraid to reef on that 5mm hex key too hard. I am not much of a millwright! -- John Hinman Boise ID K700S, and expecting an A941 in April 2022 |
Re: Airtight Clamps on a K700S
开云体育Mike, I see the slider lock lever adjacent to the table in your picture. Locate the two arrows on the slider and base and flip the lever inward. Bill Belanger On Thu, Mar 17, 2022 at 13:32 Mike Bemis <Michaelsbemis@...> wrote:

开云体育I would also list on this site as well as sawmill creek. ?In addition to Craigslist, I would also list on Facebook market place. ?Since Facebook market place started, Craigslist has kind of fizzled out.On Mar 17, 2022, at 4:18 PM, Bill White <william2652@...> wrote:

Bill White
开云体育Hi Everyone! ? Greetings from sunny California! ? Will be retiring in the next few months and moving to Europe.? Therefore, I need to sell all of my woodworking equipment and could use some advice. ? For my Felder and Hammer equipment, is it best to list them with Felder to sell through them, or better to sell yself through Craigslist?? In case it matterzs, I have a 2016 KF700SP with a 9’ slider, as well as a Hammer a-41 jointer/planer (16”). ? I will be listing the rest of my equipment on Craigslist for local sale and pickup. ? Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. ? Warmly, ? Bill White SoCal -- Bill White SoCal Felder KF700S - Hammer A3 -41, Festools, & Way too much stuff I don't use |
Re: Airtight Clamps on a K700S
开云体育Yep, familiar with them. ? I was just curious if Mike had that on his model slider as well. Thx, Wade? On Mar 17, 2022, at 2:02 PM, JP Rice via groups.io <jprphotos@...> wrote:

开云体育Mike, Does your slider at least lock in the far pulled back position? ?What is the red band for under the black horse shoe handle? Thx, Wade On Mar 17, 2022, at 11:32 AM, Mike Bemis <Michaelsbemis@...> wrote:

Re: Airtight Clamps on a K700S
开云体育Not, if you use the shirt xcut fence and would like to leave that nut installed. I have changed handles on my clamp to cam type so now I just unscrew it - much faster than the original kip lever. I leave one nut in front and one behind the xcut nut. Should have shown some patience and not cut the handle, although it hasn’t affected anything.
