Kumar,
10K Max is with standard shaper spindles. 15K for router spindle is achieved because it has smaller diameter section for belt. You also need a different belt for router spindle, at least for my older KF.
I would speak with Felder, provide them with your machine info so you get the correct router spindle and belt.

Re: router spindle question for KF700
On my Profil, There is 5 different belt setting locations and I believe one gives you 15k RPM. Not totally sure as I dont have the high speed router spindle as I hear It does not work well on my machine due to fence limitations. On another note, Knowing that i need to move the belt for speed which is easy, I was told and belived the tech did it and showed me that you could further adjust the speed with in that belt setting on the touch screen. I have yet been able to figure out how or I just dreamed it. Would anyone know? I really need to pull up a stool and learn the programming and try to remember it. But I am having to much fun framing walls and drywall, YUK. Glen Big Tree Woodworking P.O. Re: Scale
开云体育A few of us here have one Glen.?Unfortunately the Profil does not keep its calibration. Program ten cutters into the interface and all ten will be out within the month. By “out” I mean a couple of 10ths of a mm. I think Joe D. was trying to verify why they lose calibration. I’m not sure if he got to the bottom of it? I’m not the only Profil 45 x-motion owner who uses the controls as a relative DRO. Mine certainly will not keep absolute measurements.? Re: Scale
James, I have on and have to say it is pretty cool. I am still learning the programing but with a note book and notes at this point, setting up cutter s and the height and fence is about as easy as it gets. I am almost to the point of not having to do test cuts anymore. Glen Big Tree Woodworking P.O. Box 257 Avery Ca 95224 On Tue, Feb 25, 2020 at 8:52 PM James Zhu <james.zhu2@...> wrote:

Mark, Kinda cool, I heard a year ago or so they were thinking about it. I am surprised that they did . Actually it looks ok for small projects. Glen Big Tree Woodworking P.O. Box 257 Avery Ca 95224 On Tue, Feb 25, 2020 at 8:29 PM Mark Kessler <mkessler10@...> wrote:

Re: Scale
I was only impressed by Format-4 profil 45 x-motion shaper? I only use the scale to set the fence to the approximate position, test cut and adjust the fence.? James On Tue, Feb 25, 2020 at 10:12 PM Bill Bélanger <Bllblngr@...> wrote:

Scale
After the commission tech explained how the scale was operated on the F700, I was impressed at how nicely it worked, until I found out it’s to set the radius of the cutter? Does anyone use it to set the movement of the fence? That would seem the more logical use unless I’m missing the point? Bill Belanger? |
Re: K940 S commission length/time/how long?
Michael, You probably know this but as a reminder, Make sure its off the pallet and placed where you want it, Make sure your dust collection, power ect. is hooked up. Make sure you have filled out the sheet with the voltages between legs and two ground if it is a 3 phase machine. Glen Big Tree Woodworking P.O. 开云体育My tried and true method is to cut my edge banding about 1/2” thick and use drywall screws spaced about 6” to hold it in place. Cover the screw heads with wood filler. Never fails.?Ron Magliocco 1-203-216-4629 On Feb 25, 2020, at 2:55 PM, Bill Bélanger <Bllblngr@...> wrote:

开云体育I would just use flat joint and glue and overlap edges to trim later , no advantage to all the extra step. Edging
I've always done edge banding with the iron on strips. Now that I have a shaper, I'd like to actually use hardwood edging. I retrospect, I could have used my router table too. I'm thinking I'd like the V edges, instead of a tongue and groove, although I do have the set of Rangate groovers. I'd like a recommendation for a good cutter set with the 1 1/4 bore. I'd call Rangate, but thought I'd check with y'all first. I'm not in a rush to get the job done, and I'm not in production, so what's my best bet?
Thanks in advance Bill Bélanger |
